The Geely Borui is a mid-size family car originally based on the Geely KC concept unveiled in 2013 at the Shanghai Auto Show. Production of the Borui began in April 2015 by the Chinese automaker Geely Auto. The design of the Borui draws inspiration from the earlier KC concept, which was initiated two years prior in 2011. Notably, elements such as the ripple intake grille and the fastback style were adapted from the earlier Concept Universe unveiled by Volvo at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. Interestingly, the Volvo Concept Universe was originally introduced in 2011 but was later canceled after Peter Horbury, the designer behind it, left Volvo to join Geely as vice president of design in 201
