Geely MR

2000 – 2007 · China

The Geely Merrie, a subcompact car manufactured by Chinese automaker Geely Automobile, was in production from 2003 to 2006. Available in two body styles - a five-door hatchback called the Merrie and a four-door sedan known as the Uliou - the MR catered to consumers who preferred compact vehicles. The foundation of the MR stemmed from the Daihatsu Charade platform, which Geely attained through a licensing agreement with Xiali. The car's essential structure is also shared with the HQ and Haoqing models, as well as the Rural and Urban Nanny variants. In 2005, the MR made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, showcased alongside four other Geely vehicles. This public appearance
