Hyundai HB20

2012 – 2023 · South Korea

The Hyundai HB20, a subcompact car manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company since 2012, is uniquely tailored for the Brazilian market. Representing Hyundai's first model designed exclusively for Brazil, it features flex-fuel engines offering versatility for different fuel types. Initially limited to the Brazilian market, the HB20 made its way to neighboring Latin American countries in 2016, expanding to Paraguay and Uruguay before reaching Mexico and Colombia in 2022. Named after "Hyundai Brasil" (HB), with "20" indicating its segment size comparable to the i20, the HB20 comes with two engine options: a 1.0-liter and a more powerful 1.6-liter engine. This tailored approach showcases Hyundai's strategic shift in manufacturing
