The Izh 2125 "Kombi" was a small family car produced by the Soviet/Russian car manufacturer IZh between 1973 and 1997. It is recognized as the first liftback of Russian/Soviet origin, based on a modified Moskvitch 412 by Izhevsk. The initial prototype was introduced in 1966 as a compact family car. It is notable as one of the first Soviet hatchbacks, preceding the more widely known Lada Samara by about a decade.
