The Jaguar Mark IX was a luxury four-door saloon car introduced by Jaguar Cars in 1958, following the Mark VIII model. Boasting a larger and more robust 3.8 litre engine, as well as significant mechanical enhancements such as 4-wheel disc brakes and power-assisted recirculating ball steering, the Mark IX offered improved performance and handling. Visually, early versions of the Mark IX closely resembled the Mark VIII, distinguished mainly by the addition of a chrome "Mk IX" badge on the boot lid. Subsequent iterations featured a larger tail-lamp assembly with an amber section for signaling, reminiscent of the design found on the Jaguar Mark 2.
