The Jaguar XK8, also known as project code X100, was introduced by Jaguar Cars in 1996 as the first generation of a new XK series. It was designed as a grand tourer and was available in two-door coupé or convertible body styles. The XK8 featured a new 4.0-litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine, providing a balance between performance and luxury. In 1998, Jaguar introduced the XKR variant, which came equipped with a supercharged version of the engine, offering increased power and performance.
