The Kia Rio, a subcompact car produced by Kia from 1999 to 2023, was available in various body styles including three and five-door hatchbacks and a four-door sedan. It featured inline-four gasoline and diesel engines, along with front-wheel drive. The Rio replaced the initial generation Pride and the Avella, which was rebadged as a Ford in certain regions. A second generation of the Rio was launched in Europe in 2005 and in North America in 2006.
