Kia Rio QB

2015 – 2017

The Kia Rio, a popular subcompact car, has been manufactured by Kia from 1999 to 2023. It has been offered in various body styles including three and five-door hatchbacks and a four-door sedan. Equipped with inline-four gasoline and diesel engines, the Rio has always featured front-wheel drive. The Rio first entered the market as a replacement for the Ford Festiva-based Pride and the Avella, which was sold as a Ford in certain regions. The second generation of the Rio was introduced in 2005 in Europe and a year later in North America. This generation shared its platform with the Hyundai Accent, a subcompact produced by Kia's sister company, the Hyundai Motor Company. In August 2023, the Kia Rio's successor, the K3, was introduced in several markets, including Mexico and the GCC countries, marking the end of the Rio's production run.
