The Lotus Evija is an exclusive electric sports car produced by the renowned British automaker, Lotus Cars. Marking the company's venture into electric vehicles, the Evija was unveiled in July 2019 as a limited production model. Codenamed as "Type 130" and "Omega", only 130 units of this high-performance car will be manufactured, adding to its exclusivity and desirability. In November 2019, the Evija prototype underwent rigorous high-speed testing, showcasing its capabilities and performance. To build anticipation and excitement surrounding the car, a video was released on November 21, 2019. This effectively generated buzz and set the stage for its grand debut later that same day at the prestigious Guangzhou Auto Show
