LuAZ, originally known as Lutsk Automobile Plant, was a Ukrainian automobile manufacturer founded in the city of Lutsk during the Soviet era. The plant was later renamed Bogdan Motors Automobile Assembly Plant No. 1 in 2009. However, in 2022, the brand was relaunched as Luaz Motors, with a focus on producing lightweight compact electric pickups. These newly introduced electric pickups were officially launched in 2023. It is important to note that the revived Luaz Motors has no connection to the original LuAZ factory. The revival of the brand signifies a shift towards electric vehicle production and modern technology.
