Maserati Sebring

1962 – 1969

The Maserati Sebring is an Italian grand touring coupe produced between 1962 and 1969, named in honor of Maserati's victories at the Sebring 12 Hours race. Built on a shortened chassis derived from the 5000 GT, the car was bodied by Vignale and offered a combination of genuine performance and four-seat practicality that distinguished it from more strictly two-seat contemporaries. Power came from Maserati's twin-cam inline-six engine in varying displacements across the production run, with the Series II introduced around 1965 bringing a revised body and updated mechanicals. The Sebring remained in production until 1969 and is regarded as one of the more practical yet characterful grand tourers of the era, occupying a distinct position in the Maserati lineup between the sporting Mistral and the more luxurious Quattroporte.
