The first generation Ford Mondeo, launched on 23 November 1992 and available for sale from 22 March 1993, was a mid-size car produced by Ford. Commonly referred to as the Mk I Mondeo, it underwent a facelift in 1996, leading to it being designated as the Mk II in various circles.
