The MG Midget is a compact two-seater sports car crafted by MG during a production span lasting from 1961 to 1979. This model revitalized the name previously associated with earlier MG vehicles like the M-type, D-type, J-type, and T-type models. Introduced in June 1961, the initial rendition of the MG Midget closely resembled a slightly pricier badge-engineered variant of the MkII Austin-Healey Sprite deluxe model. The 'frogeye' Sprite had filled a market niche following the discontinuation of the MG T-type Midget, with the MGA serving as its larger, swifter, and pricier successor at the time. Consequently, a sizeable portion of the MG
