The Nissan Micra, also known as the Nissan March, is a popular supermini car produced by Japanese manufacturer Nissan since 1982. Initially introduced as the replacement for the Nissan Cherry in Japan, the Micra was sold exclusively through Nissan Cherry Store dealerships until 1999, when it became part of the Nissan Red Stage network until 2003. It served as Nissan's smallest vehicle in Japan until the introduction of kei cars in the market. The first generation of the Micra, known as the K10, was launched in October 1982 in Japan. It was positioned as a competitor to other popular small cars like the Honda City, Daihatsu Charade, Suzuki Cultus, and Toyota Starlet. The K10 Micra was designed to offer a compact and efficient driving experience, catering to the growing demand for small and practical cars in the market. Key points: 1.
