The Nissan Avenir, a series of station wagons introduced by Nissan of Japan in May 1990, was designed to cater to budget-conscious consumers. Initially launched as the Avenir Cargo, it was later rebranded as the Nissan Expert in 1999. This model served as a replacement for the well-established Nissan Bluebird wagon and delivery van, offering a larger alternative to the Nissan Wingroad and Nissan AD van. In 1999, the Expert also took over the load-carrying responsibilities previously held by the Nissan Cedric and Gloria delivery vans that had been discontinued. Positioned in the market after the Subaru Legacy wagon but before the Toyota Caldina wagon, the Nissan Avenir filled a niche for those seeking a practical and versatile vehicle
