TagAZ, also known as Taganrog Automobile Factory, was an automotive assembly plant situated in Taganrog, Russia. Established in 1997 with the license and technology from South Korean company Daewoo Motors, it was fully backed by Doninvest Finance & Industry Group with over US$260 million in investment. The factory commenced production in 1998, focusing on the assembly of Daewoo Lanos and Daewoo Nubira models using semi-knocked-down kits. As an affiliated entity, the Rostov Truck Factory worked alongside TagAZ to expand its automotive manufacturing capabilities.
