What set the Be-1 apart was its distinctive approach to branding, as it was intentionally marketed without any Nissan logos. The design process of the Be-1 involved multiple proposals, with Nissan's in-house team offering one design, while industrial designer Naoki Sakai and an Italian design studio presented separate concepts.
