The Nissan Pulsar is a line of automobiles that was produced by Japanese automaker Nissan from 1978 to the early 2000s. Initially introduced in 1978, the Pulsar series continued to evolve and serve various markets over the years. In the Japanese market, the Pulsar was eventually replaced by the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy in 2000. However, the name "Pulsar" was retained in Australia and New Zealand between 2000 and 2005 for rebadged versions of the Sylphy. This practice ended in 2005 with the introduction of the Nissan Tiida. In 2013, Nissan revived the Pulsar name in Australia and New Zealand, replacing the Tiida with new models based on the Sylphy (B17) sedan and Tiida (C12) hatchback. The intention was to bring back the Pulsar brand to these markets with updated and modern versions of the vehicles. Additionally, the Tiida model, also known under the Pulsar name, was sold in Thailand.
