The Nissan Pulsar is an automobile line manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan from 1978 to 2000. Initially introduced in Japan, the Pulsar was later replaced by the Bluebird Sylphy in the Japanese market, ending its production in that region. However, the name "Pulsar" was continued in Australia and New Zealand between 2000 and 2005, where it was used on rebadged versions of the Sylphy. This arrangement changed in 2005 with the introduction of the Nissan Tiida, leading to the retirement of the Pulsar name. Yet in 2013, Nissan revived the Pulsar name in Australia and New Zealand by introducing two new models based on the Sylphy sedan and Tiida hatchback.
