The Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser is a classic station wagon produced by Oldsmobile spanning three generations from 1964 to 1977. Notable features of the first and second-generation Vista Cruisers include fixed-glass skylights over the second-row seating, a raised roof behind the skylight, lateral glass panels over the rear cargo area, and sun visors for second-row passengers. Access to the third row of forward-facing seating was achieved by a retractable split bench seat in the second row. The Vista Cruiser shared its body style with similar wagons such as the Buick Sport Wagon, Pontiac Tempest Safari, and Chevrolet Chevelle Greenbrier. It made its debut on February 4, 1964, as a 1964 model, based on the Oldsmobile Cutlass/F-85 Series. The distinctive skylight roof panel was a unique feature shared only with the Buick Sport Wagon, not available on the Chevrolet or Pontiac wagons of the time.
