The Panoz Roadster, introduced in 1992, is a notable sports car created by the American company Panoz Auto Development Company, based in Georgia. This stylish vehicle was later followed by the AIV Roadster in 1997, further enhancing Panoz's reputation in the sports car market. The Panoz Roadster and its successor, the AIV Roadster, were constructed using aluminum, a material that was also utilized in the Plymouth Prowler released the same year as the AIV Roadster. This made the Panoz Roadster a trailblazer as it was the first American sports car to extensively incorporate aluminum into its design. A distinctive aspect of the Panoz Roadster's development lies in
