SEAT›Leon

The SEAT León, a small family car manufactured by SEAT since October 1999, has been named after the city of León, which translates to "Lion" in Spanish. The first two generations of the León utilized varying versions of the Volkswagen Group A platform, sharing components with other Volkswagen Group vehicles. The current third and fourth generations are built on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform, shared with models like the Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, and Škoda Octavia. The original SEAT León, launched in 1999 under the Volkswagen Group Typ 1M, was initially released as a hatchback while its sedan counterpart was named the SEAT Toledo. It was based on the Volkswagen Group A4
