Staver

In the annals of automotive history, the Staver brand holds a unique place. Founded in the early 20th century by John Staver, this pioneering company initially made its mark with the Staver Carriage, renowned for its craftsmanship and innovation in the bustling streets of Chicago. Transitioning from horse-drawn carriages to motor vehicles, Staver ventured into the automobile industry with the Staver Chicago, their inaugural car model introduced in 1907. This vehicle was celebrated for its robust engineering and elegant design, embodying the technological zeal of its era. Despite a promising start, Staver faced the typical tumults of early automotive enterprises. The brand navigated through competitive pressures and the economic landscape of the time, but by 1914, it quietly receded from the forefront of the industry, leaving behind a legacy of automotive ingenuity. Today, while Staver no longer produces vehicles, its impact on early automotive engineering continues to be studied and admired. Collectors and historians alike cherish the Staver models for their innovative design and historical significance, encapsulating a brief, yet bright, flash in the rich tapestry of automotive history.
