TagAZ, short for Taganrog Automobile Factory in Russia, was an automotive assembly plant established in Taganrog, Russia. It served as a key hub for vehicle production with an affiliation with the Rostov Truck Factory. The plant initiated operations in 1997, following a licensing agreement with South Korean Daewoo Motors and substantial financial backing from the Doninvest Finance & Industry Group, totaling over US$260 million in investments. The plant commenced semi-knocked-down production of the Daewoo Lanos and Daewoo Nubira models in 1998, marking the beginning of its manufacturing activities.
