The Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup truck introduced by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota in May 1999. It marked a significant milestone as the first full-size pickup from a Japanese manufacturer to be produced in North America. Initially manufactured in a new Toyota plant in Princeton, Indiana, production was later moved to Toyota's factory in San Antonio, Texas, in 2008. The Tundra followed the Toyota T100 as the second full-size pickup from a Japanese automaker and bore similarities to the T100 and the compact Tacoma.
