The Volvo 200 Series, comprising the 240 and 260 models, was a line of mid-size luxury vehicles manufactured by Volvo Cars from 1974 to 1993, with over 2.8 million units sold globally. Designed by Jan Wilsgaard and evolved from the preceding Volvo 140 Series, the 200 Series maintained the hallmark Volvo aesthetics while incorporating modern updates. The production of the 200 Series overlapped with that of the Volvo 700 Series from 1982 to 1992, with the 240 remaining popular throughout.
