Volvo›300 Series

The Volvo 300 Series was a small family car produced by Volvo from 1976 to 1991. Initially launched in the Netherlands following Volvo's acquisition of part of DAF's passenger car division in 1973, this series included the Volvo 340 (previously known as the 343/345) and the later Volvo 360. Available in both hatchback and notchback saloon versions from 1984 onwards, the Volvo 300 Series was known for its rear-wheel-drive design. The origins of the Volvo 300 Series can be traced back to DAF's development of a new larger model, known as the P900 and intended to be the DAF 77, in the early 1970s. Seeking a partner
