The Audi Q5 is a series of compact luxury crossover SUVs manufactured by Audi since 2008. The first-generation Q5 (Typ 8R) was released as part of the B8 family, following the Audi A5 and A4 models, and was based on the Audi MLB platform. In 2018, the second generation Q5 (Typ 80A) was introduced, sharing the Audi MLB Evo platform with the modern B9 versions of the A4 and A5.
A notable concept vehicle previewed the Q5's design, featuring a 2-door convertible layout powered by a 3.0 TDI engine producing 240 PS, 500 N⋅m torque, quattro all-wheel drive, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle showcased premium elements such as a Copper Sunset body finish, LED headlights, 21-inch wheels with 265/35R21 tires, White Stone leather seats, an MMI system, Bang & Olufsen sound, CDC shock absorbers, electric ride height adjustment, and Audi Drive Select technology.
