The BMW 8 Series is a luxurious line of grand tourer coupes and convertibles by BMW. Originally launched in 1990 with the E31 model code, the 8 Series debuted as a stylish two-door coupe boasting powerful naturally aspirated V8 and V12 petrol engines. The vehicle was positioned as a successor to the E24 6 Series, despite being a standalone model. Unfortunately, due to lackluster sales, production of the E31 model ended in 1999.
