The Peugeot 505 was a large family car produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot from 1978 to 1992 in Sochaux, France. It was also manufactured in various other countries including Argentina, China, Thailand, Indonesia, and Nigeria. The 505 was Peugeot's final rear-wheel-drive car, making it a noteworthy model in the company's history. A total of 1,351,254 505s were produced during its production run, with 1,116,868 of these being saloons or sedans.
