The M-Hero 917, also known as the 猛士917 (Mengshi 917) in Chinese, is a full-size luxury SUV produced by Dongfeng Motor Corporation under their M-Hero brand. Serving as the flagship model for the brand, the 917 made its debut in August 2022 and officially hit the market the following year. It belongs to the Dongfeng Mengshi lineup of off-road vehicles. The development of the 917 was foreshadowed by the Mengshi M-Terrain EV SUV concept car, which initially showcased the design direction for the model. This prototype was unveiled in August 2022, coinciding with the launch of the M-Hero brand as a standalone entity
