Ford Falcon XE

1982 – 1984

The Ford Falcon XE was produced in Australia from 1982 to 1984, representing one generation in Ford Australia's long-running Falcon lineup that spanned from the 1960s through the 2010s. Sitting between the XD and XF generations, the XE carried forward the rear-wheel-drive platform that underpinned the Australian Falcon through much of its history. The XE generation is noted for introducing refinements in trim and equipment levels relative to its predecessor, continuing Ford Australia's approach of developing the Falcon as a locally engineered large car suited to Australian market conditions and road networks.
