The Kia Stinger, a mid-size liftback/fastback vehicle, was in production by Kia Motors from 2017 until 2023. This model's origins can be traced back to the GT Concept showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, as well as the Kia GT4 Stinger displayed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. The design team, led by Peter Schreyer and Gregory Guillaume at Kia's European studio in Frankfurt, collaborated with former BMW M Vice President of Engineering, Albert Biermann, now the executive vice president of performance development and high-performance vehicles at Hyundai Motor Group.
