The Mazda Capella, known as the 626 in various regions, was a mid-size car manufactured by Mazda from 1970 to 2002. In Japan, it was sold as the Capella but was known as the 626 in Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia. The platform of the Capella was utilized by Ford, Mazda's partner at the time, to produce the Ford Telstar and Ford Probe models. The combined sales of the 626 and Telstar reached 4,345,279 units globally.
