The Opel GT is a front-engine, rear-drive two-seat sports car manufactured by Opel with two generations produced, separated by a 34-year hiatus. The first generation Opel GT (1968–1973) was initially unveiled as a styling concept in 1965 and used mechanical components from the Opel Kadett B with bodywork by French contractor Brissonneau & Lotz. It bore a resemblance to the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette. The second generation Opel GT (2007–2009) was a rebadged version of the Saturn Sky, built in the USA, based on the Pontiac Solstice.
