The Renault 5 is a compact hatchback produced by French automaker Renault in two generations from 1972 to 1996. Initially known as the R5, it later became the Super 5 or Supercinq. The car featured a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout with either three or five doors, accommodating up to five passengers.
