The Saab 900, produced by Swedish manufacturer Saab from 1978 to 1998, is a mid-sized automobile offered in two distinct generations. The first generation, manufactured from 1978 to 1994, was built on the Saab 99 chassis with modifications to its front end to comply with U.S. safety regulations. This update allowed for the inclusion of turbo-charged engines, air conditioning, and other modern features.
