The Toyota Crown Majesta is a full-size luxury sedan that serves as Toyota's flagship model in various countries. It is an upmarket variant of the Crown and is positioned as a modern limousine alternative to the existing Century model. The Crown Majesta made its debut after the global release of the Celsior/Lexus LS in late 1989, with the Celsior being sold exclusively at Toyopet Store locations on a newer platform. In contrast, the Crown Majesta was exclusive to Toyota Japanese dealerships known as Toyota Store. The Crown Majesta, sharing the flagship role with the Century, arrived before the Aristo/Lexus GS, which was designated for Toyota Vista Store locations and was built on the same platform as the Crown
