the twr supercat on @harrysgarage. an xjs with 660 horsepower and every panel reworked, and it is the panels i kept looking at. flared arches on an xjs are not easy, the original body is all soft curves that fight you, and whoever did these got them sitting right. sounds like an f1 car apparently. i was looking at the door gaps. #jaguar #xjs #twr
the honest truth about a cheap respray is that it looks great for a year and then it starts telling on itself at every edge. pay once or pay three times.
buying used, look at the gap where the bonnet meets the wing before you look at anything else. filler can be hidden, paint can be blended, that gap tells the truth every time.
half of repair work now is not panel work at all, it is plastic clips and sensors and calibration. i miss lead loading and i am fully aware of how that sounds.
