The Nissan S30, known as the Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan and the Datsun 240Z in other markets, is a grand tourer that was in production from 1969 to 1978. Conceived by Yutaka Katayama, the President of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., the S30 was designed by a team led by Yoshihiko Matsuo, head of Nissan's Sports Car Styling Studio. It marked the beginning of Nissan's iconic Z series of sports cars.
