Nissan›Caravan

The Nissan Caravan, a light commercial van introduced in 1973, is a popular choice for fleet and cargo vehicle applications. It has been manufactured by Nissan for over four decades and is known for its reliability and practicality. In various markets, the Caravan has been rebadged and sold under different names such as the Nissan Homy, Nissan Urvan, and Nissan King Van, reflecting its versatility and adaptability. One distinctive feature of the Caravan is its cabover design, a result of Japanese government regulations on vehicle dimensions that levy higher taxes on larger vehicles. This design choice allows the Caravan to maximize interior space while maintaining compact exterior dimensions, making it an efficient and maneuverable option for urban driving and transporting goods.
