The Honda Inspire is a mid-size sedan that originated from the Honda Accord chassis in the late 1980s. Initially known as the Accord Inspire, it was a counterpart to the Honda Vigor and was marketed in Japan under different retail channels - Honda Verno for the Vigor/Saber and as the Inspire at Honda Clio stores. In 1995, the Inspire underwent updates and was introduced to the US market as the Acura 3.2 TL, replacing the Vigor with the Honda Saber.
