The Mercury Grand Marquis was a prominent automobile in the market, manufactured by Mercury from 1975 to 2011. Initially introduced as a flagship sub-model of the Mercury Marquis, it later evolved into a distinct model line in 1983, renowned for being the largest sedan offered by Mercury. Throughout its production, the Grand Marquis was a close companion to the Mercury Colony Park station wagon until 1991. Sharing the rear-wheel drive (RWD) Panther platform with the Ford LTD Crown Victoria and subsequently the Ford Crown Victoria from 1992, as well as the Lincoln Town Car from 1980 onwards, the Grand Marquis was known for its sturdy and reliable build.
