It is odd that the Porsche 911 996 GT3 RS stock brakes were excellent, but track driving required upgraded pads and better cooling to prevent fading under extreme use.
The Porsche 911 996 GT3 RS had a lot of problems if driven hard, which seen as it was based off the GT1 car is a bit strange. like the radiators and coolant hoses were known to be prone to leak. Breaks fade, clutch wore out quickly and Oil Starvation Under Hard Cornering.
