The Renault 9 and Renault 11 were small family cars manufactured by Renault from 1981 to 1988, available in saloon (Renault 9) and hatchback (Renault 11) body styles. Designed by Robert Opron, these models marked Renault's foray into compact family vehicles. In North America, the cars were produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC) and sold as the Renault Alliance and Renault Encore.
